Iris croatica is a tourist agency located on the edge of the National park Plitvice lakes and gives tourist services actively since 2002.
At the beginning, the main goal was to create a tourism product of the region, offering additional facilities, guests who came to visit Plitvice lakes for a one-day tour, extending their stay in the area; and the intertwining of tourism, ecology and sustainable development.
2004: Iris croatica is starting with a new project - construction of the estate "Jelov Klanac" with a main goal to promote the region of Lika, Rakovica and Plitvice lakes but also restoring the life in the already forgotten village.
Mission of Jelov Klanac is to give people a chance to enjoy nature, stay at the wooden houses near Plitvice Lakes National Park, bring back to life old traditional crafts that are forgotten, maintain the flora and fauna and of course the famous Lika hospitality.
With a very successful project Jelov Klanac, Iris croatica offers services such as guiding, transfers and lunches in the region Plitvice lakes. It hires 10 local guides and cooperates with large domestic and foreign agencies.
